CJS flexible training fund

Scottish Charity Awards 2017 winner – Leading Light – Celine Sinclair, The Yard

The CJS Flexible Training Fund can provide up to £200 for additional training and/or employability support for each CJS employee.
Eligible uses include training course costs, training materials like workbooks and examination costs. You can find out more in your CJS Employer Guidance.

Employers are encouraged to help their employee find and access suitable training courses. The fund does not necessarily need to be used for training related to the CJS job, it can be used for their own personal development or help enhance their future career/job goals.

Training courses previously undertaken include:

Emergency First Aid, CIEH Level 2 H&S in Workplace, CIEH Level 2 Manual Handling, Employability Skills, Teaching English Foreign Language, Managing and Supervising people, Effective Minute Taking, ASSIST Suicide Intervention Training, PAT Testing, Food Hygiene, Customer Care,  Telephone skills, Mental Health Awareness, Media training, Report Writing, Communication & Guiding with Deaf People, Lantra Brushcutters & Strimmers, Basic Chainsaw, World Host Customer Care, Adobe Photoshop, CSCS Test & Card, RTITB Counterbalance or Reach Novice, NPLA, Sage Accounts,

Once you’ve identified a training opportunity, the CJS Employer must complete an Individual Training Request form via the Salesforce portal and we can check the training is eligible. If everything is okay we’ll send you an authorisation email and you can go ahead and book the training.

Employers pay the training costs upfront and SCVO will reimburse the sum on receipt of the required claim paperwork.

All approved training must be undertaken and completed before the employees CJS contract end date.
