Aims & objectives

Cairn Housing Association has for over 30 years served a wide variety of communities throughout Scotland offering a range of affordable housing and related services. Our Care and Support Service also enables people who live in some of our properties to continue to live independently. With over 3,000 homes under management and offices in Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, Coatbridge and Thurso, we address housing needs of people in both urban and rural areas, including older people and those who need specialised support.

Job description

The trainee would contribute to the successful delivery of the day to day customer service including Housing and rent enquiries, administration tasks, filing, mail mergers, opening and distribution of mail etc. Full training and supervision would be given.

The trainee would also assist in other departments within Cairn as and when required.

Person specification

The person should have reasonable computer literacy in Microsoft Office/Excel and be communicative and have an interest in admin work.

Additional information

The trainee would gain an insight as to how an office delivers its service to its customers over a wide geographical area. This will allow the trainee to gain new skills which should assist when looking for permanent employment.
