Aims & objectivesUnity (formerly Unity Enterprise) is committed to promoting the rights of people for full cultural, social and economic inclusion within their community. Unity was established in 1989 as an inter-church initiative offering training and personal development to young unemployed people. Following considerable expansion, client groups now include; 14-16 year olds with school attendance problems or who have been excluded from school ; 16-18 year olds who wish to attain formal vocational qualifications; physically disabled people; people with learning difficulties ; offenders serving a custodial sentence and those who have been released from prison people who are long-term unemployed; people with mental health issues ;carers. Unity social enterprises include - Travel Options, Furniture Options and two cafés/caterers The Travelling Spoon.

North Ayrshire Carer Center offer specialist information, support advocacy and advice. Respite away from the role in the form of day trips, health and wellbeing services, social activities and peer support from fellow carers. Also help with form filling, support and sympathetic ear, advocacy representing carers, literature, training opportunities, relaxation in the form of alternative therapies, outreach, support groups, young carers support.
Must have good communication skills, Good time management is essential, Must be a team player.
