Aims & objectivesForth Valley Sensory Centre aims to create a place where quality of life can be improved by encouraging and enabling social interaction and inclusion. They provide a range of services for people with a sensory impairment including: advice & information; assessment; audiology services; ophthalmology services; social work services and a physical disability nursing advisory service. The Centre is owned and run by Forth Valley Sensory Centre Trust, a new company set up by a partnership of organisations who have long standing skills and experience in delivering quality services to people with sensory impairment. The partners are Falkirk Council, RNIB Scotland, NHS Forth Valley, Stirling Council, Clackmannanshire Council, Royal National Institute for the Deaf and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

To work alongside volunteers to prepare hot and cold snacks for service users, the general public and staff.
To share in the ordering of provisions, stock control, stock rotation for the café and for the hall bookings, and other ordering as required.
To serve prepared food, in a manner dictated by Centre policy and food hygiene laws.
To ensure all surfaces within the kitchen are kept clean and t idy 9including work surfaces, fridges, freezers and cupboard units). This includes monthly and quarterly deep cleaning and recording appropriately.
To be aware of and carry out the regulations laid down in the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Respond appropriately to the public in the café and other areas of the Centre.
To ensure the seating areas of the café are kept clean and free of potential hazards.
