Aims & objectivesNetherthird Community Development Group was formed in August 2010 to improve on a number of initiatives based on our communities needs. The group wants to develop and regenerate the community by providing community owned assets and to develop a healthier community by providing local accessible and affordable business produce. Key activities include the development of: a 3G synthetic football pitch, a community garden and community café and children’s play area. The company’s objects are:- 1) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Netherthird and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and participation in sport, and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation, sport and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. 2) To promote the benefit and welfare of such people by the acquisition of land, through long-term lease, gift, or outright purchase, for the provision and maintenance of a community sports facility or facilities, community garden or gardens, and similar facilities so that their conditions may be improved. 3) To advance the education of the public, particularly in horticultural skills 4) To promote the preservation and conservation of the environment in Netherthird and its environs for the public benefit.

To maintain gardens and green spaces by strimming grass, grass cutting, weeding, planting plants and shrubs, installing planting beds, maintaining planting beds and other garden maintenance tasks.
To carry out hedge cutting and lopper work in the maintenance of shrubs and tree's.
To carry out and lead a team in installing fences, slabbing areas and kerb edges. Also the candidate will be required to install stone paths and other access paths and chipped areas of garden. To perform fence painting tasks, perform general tidy ups of rubbish and areas of land. The candidate will be required to soil up and grass seed area's of land.
Candidate must be keen to work as part of a team and have a desire to work in the garden maintenance section.
