Job description

Updating Centre finance ledger, processing invoices, making deposits, online banking, maintaining financial records, managing petty cash, bank reconciliation and other financial and accountancy procedures

Reception service - in person, over the phone or by email (answering and directing phone calls, handling enquiries and incoming requests for bookings, taking and distributing messages)

Updating and maintaining the Centre members database.

Basic accounting functions and procedures.

Mail procedures - receiving, sorting & distributing mail, preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages.

General administrative support, organising and scheduling appointments for the Centre Manager.

Organising and co-ordinating meetings, compiling records of office activities.

Ensure all publicity material, centre activity posters and flyers etc are displayed neatly in publicity marketing stands and wall displays.

General clerical support - faxing, scanning, photocopying, laminating and filing when required.

Help when public events/community gatherings are held in the Centre. For example. Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc

Assist in setting up training rooms, teas, coffees etc for business training courses

Person specification

Hardworking, flexible and conscientious individual, preferably with knowledge of basic software packages. Ability to work within a team or on own initiative. Good numeracy & literacy skills. Efficient telephone manner. Ability to interact in group settings. Good keyboard skills. You will work closely with the Centre Manager

Additional information

Would be an advantage if the person had a good awareness of social media. All the activity that runs in the Centre are marketed online. However, if not, then training would be given.
