Job description

Assist with ground maintenance.

Assist with planting, food production and composting

Assist with basic plant care, watering/feeding, weeding, harvesting

Talk to garden users informally, promote and encourage them to participate in organised events and workshops.

Assist with preparation for group workshop activities

Assist with regular maintenance and equipment health and safety checks

Collect and record information from garden activities

Assist with promotion

Assist with hard and soft landscaping

Assist at special events

Person specification

No formal education required.

Skills required:

a keen interest in gardening and/or food production

good communication skills

ability to work as part of a team

Able to work safely under own initiative

Positive Attitude

Additional information

The postholder must be able to cope with applied physical effort as the role includes a degree of manual labour.
