Aims & objectives

The organisation aims to relieve the needs of people affected by domestic violence, primarily but not exclusively women and children from minority ethnic groups in the North East of Scotland through: A) Provision of refuge from domestic violence. B) Provision of supportive and educational services to persons affected by domestic violence in order to improve their conditions of life. C) Working in partnership with other bodies to achieve the objects.

Job description

Recording and maintaining an effective filing system for all paperwork and service user records, data input, assist with the recording of statistical information and compiling of reports, handling invoicing for booking and hire of rooms, basic financial record keeping and payment of invoices, financial reconciliation, responsible for petty cash in office, minute taking, diary management (meetings), managing email lists and newsletter for the service (responsible for written communications from the service including letters), working closely with service manager in relation to the administration processes and procedures for the service and providing administrative support to staff.

Person specification

Training and mentoring will be provided but the right candidate should have excellent IT skills.

Additional information

proficient in the use of all Microsoft packages, knowledge/experience of keeping accurate financial records, able to follow strict processes and procedures within an office setting, work to GDPR legislation and strict confidentiality policies.
