Job description

POST TITLE: Project Assistant.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Business Manager. Salary (£7.50 for a 25 hr week)

JOB PURPOSE: To assist Wee Toon Environmental Solutions to undertake a range of landscape and gardening activities as well as building and installing a variety of wooden structures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To assist in carrying out a range of garden maintenance activities.

2. To assist in a range of environmental improvement activities, including, close cleaning and clearance work as directed

3. To assist in construction of a variety of wooden structures, such as sheds, dog kennels, rabbit hutches, fencing and decking structures.

4. To assist with maintenance of tools and machinery.

5. To work as part of Wee Toon Environmental Services Team, assisting with promoting a positive image of the company and its activities.

6. To ensure good health and safety practice is adhered to

7. Any other areas of work as deemed necessary by the gardener.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Good communication, practical skills and an ability to follow instructions are essential. Following a short period of close supervision can work well on own initiative and be a positive team member.

While no formal qualifications are required applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in:

• working in the outdoors

• practical tasks
