Abstract

This report is about what matters most to people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders in Scotland today. 605 people replied to a postal questionnaire about their lives and what is important to them. The findings reinforce the policy direction set by the Scottish Executive?s review ?The same as you?? published in May 2000 to ensure that people with learning disabilities have as full and independent a life as possible. They also show that there is still more to do.
