Clark, J.; Ferrie, J.; Watson, N.

This report presents evidence drawn from a range of publications on how third sector organisations have engaged with and supported people facing multiple and complex needs, on their journey to employment. It has drawn on literature published in the UK, the EU, Australia and the US between 2005 and 2009. The objectives of the review were to map what the literature indicates about the most effective ways to support people facing multiple and complex needs, to give examples of good practice, to identify the role of volunteering and to describe what outcomes have been evidenced in respect to successful approaches by third sector organisations in bridging distance from the employment market.
