Scottish Charity Regulator
The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) was established in 2006 and is the independent regulator and registrar for over 24,000 Scottish charities. We are a Non-Ministerial Department and part of the Scottish Administration.
Our vision is of charities you can trust and that provide public benefit. We work closely with the Scottish Government, third sector organisations and others to support public confidence in Scotland’s charities and their work.
The Scottish Charity Register lists every charity registered in Scotland and can be viewed online at www.oscr.org.uk. Visit our website to find out more about charity regulation and what charities in Scotland do.
