Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) is delivered by SCVO working in partnership with the Scottish Government and Scotland’s voluntary sector. The Programme focuses in particular on unemployed young people aged 16-29 who are care experienced, are carers themselves, early Armed Forces service leavers (under six years), those with criminal convictions and those who have disabilities or other health issues.
CJS creates employment opportunities for young unemployed people within third sector Organisations throughout Scotland – particularly those who are more disadvantaged in the labour market. CJS already works with hundreds of employers across Scotland, with 8,260 vacancies filled to date. The service now aims to create a further 700 jobs by March 2019.
