How does your investment policy statement measure up?
Hosted by Aberdeen Standard Capital
Date: Wednesday 19 February
Time: 11.45am to 12.45pm
Room: M2 to M5
Does your charity need help to create its first investment policy statement? Do you have an old one gathering dust which needs updated? Help is at hand in this practical workshop, as Aberdeen Standard Capital launches it new guidance to help charities on this theme.
OSCR, The Scottish Charity Regulator, has issued guidance on the approach charities should take to investment policy matters. This workshop will look at how you apply this in practice, in particular tackling often sensitive questions around ethical screening. The emerging question of ‘fossil fuel investments’ will also be in the spotlight, as we explore the range of approaches in this area.
Julie Hutchison, Charities Specialist at Aberdeen Standard Capital and co-author of the OSCR investment guidance, will be hosting this workshop. With the emphasis on case studies, those attending this session will leave armed with practical next steps.
