One of our ain
Hosted by Moira Anderson Foundation
Date: Wednesday 19 February
Time: 1.00pm to 1.50pm
Room: Lomond Suite
One of our ain is a one woman play telling the story of Moira Anderson’s disappearance from Coatbridge on February 23, 1957. It is ‘a powerful testimony about Scotland’s longest unsolved cold case, and a very enduring mystery.’
Performed by the author and actress, Sandra Brown OBE, this is an opportunity to see a unique show as it is virtual theatre, dealing with real events. At the heart of it is a daughter coming to terms with her father’s behaviour, and its longterm effects.
‘From the moment she stepped onstage…Sandra had the audience gripped. She shocked them, she made them laugh, and brought them close to tears, as she recreated her family life.’ Glasgow Evening Times ‘Humorous, harrowing, and heart-stopping.’ Janey Godley ‘ It’s testament to her extraordinary strength of character that she can not only describe her experiences but does so in such evocative style.’ The Herald. ‘Wonderfully performed..a beautiful depiction of human resilience.’ 3 Weeks
Following the play Sandra will be available at stand 87 to speak to individuals and sign copies of Where There is Evil, her bestseller on the Moira case. All proceeds from sale of the book will go to Moira Anderson Foundation.
