Local Intelligence Support Team, Public Health & Intelligence
LIST was set up to assist integration of health & social care services, and GP Clusters. Alongside this work LIST has developed collaborative working with some Third Sector organisations. Assisting them to collect and use data, in an effective manner.
With the establishment of Public Health Scotland and emerging Whole System Approach / Early Adopters initiatives, provides an opportunity to transform the support offered to the Third Sector. This offers an opportunity for LIST to provide support to Third Sector organisations who are looking to use data, with health & social care partners to improve outcomes for service users.
LIST can provide support with:
- Understanding the local data landscape
- Access to local and national datasets.
- Identifying data gaps, developing datasets, advising on data collection.
- Sharing and learning across Scotland
- Benchmarking, visualisation, analysis and interpretation
Many third sector organisations themselves are increasingly generating administrative datasets related to service provision, and are keen to use their data along with other data (public sector), combining and linking together different data sources; as evidence for evaluation purposes, to demonstrate the effectiveness of their services, as well as future proofing, and around providing evidence to strengthen funding applications.
