Magic Torch Comics CIC
Magic Torch Comics CIC work with schools, community groups and organisations across Scotland, to tell stories using comics. Our model delivers bespoke comics projects, collaboratively scripted by school pupils and community organisations in creative workshops and then illustrated by professional artists. The team have a strong community learning and development background and we have specialised in working with marginalised groups to create comics, including young people on the autistic spectrum, young carers, recently arrived refugee families and LGBT groups.
In addition to our comic creation services, we deliver a range of local comic clubs, provide Comics CPD to schools, libraries and third sector organisations and deliver talks and lectures on comics history locally and nationally. We were delighted to be listed as one of The Big Issue’s 100 Changemakers for 2020.
We also work with organisations to create information comics, to help promote or explain services. Currently we are working with Scottish Parliament to develop a series of comics exploring and explaining aspects of the work of parliament and we have recently worked to create service information for Health and Social Care Partnerships in areas such as primary care and adoption services.
We can help you tell your story too.
