Neighbourhood Networks is a registered Scottish charity based in Glasgow supporting vulnerable adults mainly with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues to live an independent life, safely, within their own homes and be fully involved within their local communities.
We currently have 26 Networks supporting members across the Central Belt of Scotland. Our members are supported to develop their own personal growth plan which focuses on areas such as independent travel, money management, life skills, employment, building friendships and relationships. Our members are supported to understand and deal with their responsibilities as tenants and neighbours to ensure they are not at risk of losing their home. The outcomes for our members are a better quality of life, they are safer, stronger, and able to live independently and they themselves are sharing these new skills with other vulnerable adults. Our members will be spending more time with friends, they will be less isolated and will be less reliant on paid support. Together, we hope to break down barriers which often exist for people with disabilities
