RNIB Scotland / Need to Talk
The Royal National Institute of Blind People Scotland helps blind and partially sighted people of all ages live as fully and independently as possible. It provides advice, support, training, equipment and transcribes books and other materials. It also campaigns to improve sight loss prevention.
Our Need to Talk service, funded by the EU’s Interreg programme, provides free and confidential telephone counselling to people losing their sight in western Scotland, and also to their carers and family. It offers both emotional reassurance and practical advice. The service is available in Dumfries and Galloway, Ayrshire, Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, Arran and Cumbrae, Argyll and Bute and the Western Isles. Need to Talk can be contacted on 0303 123 999 or visit rnib.org.uk/needtotalk.
