Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel
The Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel oversees enhanced self-regulation of fundraising in Scotland. It is responsible for fundraising standards in Scotland as well as handling fundraising complaints related to Scottish registered charities.
The Panel promotes good fundraising practice, working in conjunction with the Fundraising Regulator. Charities registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) can apply for the ‘Fundraising Guarantee’, a positive statement about values, culture and practices which outlines to the public how they can expect to be treated by fundraisers and charities.
Whilst charities have primary responsibility for dealing with fundraising complaints under the enhanced self-regulation system, complaints can be escalated to the Panel who will make an adjudication in line with the requirements of the Code of Fundraising Practice.
