Using video to tell the story of our #EssentialSector

Some of the best video content is taken using the simplest equipment. Anyone can learn to use their mobile phone to tell the story of their organisation and to show its impact.

Come along for a practical session on how to get started.

The session will be led by professional film makers, media co-op. They will be joined by Dates-n-Mates and Helensburgh Community Hub, who produced their own films for the #EssentialSector campaign.

This webinar will give you:

• an introduction to 'mobile journalism' or 'mojo' - the art of making films on your mobile phone
• hints and tips to start making films using your mobile phone
• a lot of information to take away and work through at your own pace
• a little bit of practice and the opportunity to ask our experts questions

This fast-paced, online event is packed with practical guidance on how to make films using your mobile phone. There will be lots of information and a little opportunity to have a go.

There will be plenty of breaks to keep everyone fresh, and we recommend you:

• get comfortable – make sure you are somewhere with minimal distractions and room to stretch or move
• have refreshments to hand – bring along a drink and a snack
• charge your mobile phone if you would like to take part ‘live’ in the practical exercises

You will also be able to revisit all the content again at your own pace, and practice as you go, when we share the post-event recording with you afterwards along with supporting factsheets.

Anyone who is interested in using their mobile phone to make short films to tell the story of their organisation. No previous film-making experience is required.
