Purpose of Job: Provide general assistance which supports the delivery of a range of employability and mentoring services to people including people with convictions in accordance with the philosophy and policy of Apex Scotland and the contractual agreements reached between Apex Scotland and the appropriate bodies.
To contribute to the effective use of the resources of Apex Scotland.
Participate in the effective presentation of Apex Scotland to all stakeholders.
To assist with the effective communication and co-operation with all relevant agencies.
Areas of Responsibility and Authority:
Service Specialism: To help provide an efficient reception, telephony and administration function for the service area including general office duties to assist team members to carry out their roles.
To participate in the maintenance of all filing and recording systems.
To assist in handling all general enquiries from the public, professional agencies, employers, service users, and other appropriate bodies.
Operational: To actively contribute to the activity of the team and team meetings.
To cooperate with team members to create an effective working environment and ensure service delivery standards are maintained.
To contribute to the overall performance with regard to all agreed targets and strive to assist the team to reach targets and meet quality standards.
To be involved in the provision of adequate cover during working hours and ensure that Toil and holidays are taken
To participate in the development of local initiatives.
To actively participate in team and the Unit developments.
To assist with Foodbank and other similar activities.
To support the delivery, monitoring and development of the services, policies and practices of Apex Scotland as requested and required.
No experience necessary as full training will be given, but knowledge of office procedures and, basic IT knowledge and good customer care will be an advantage.
