The organisation's mission is to support recovery for individuals, families, carers and communities affected by drug and alcohol use problems through advocacy, training, education, research and campaigning. The organisation's objects are to:A) Signpost, support and help individuals in recovery to access appropriate services.B) Promote the concept of recovery to the individual, to families and to the wider community.C) Utilise advocacy programmes for safeguarding individuals who may be in vulnerable situations.D) Utilise advocacy for speaking up for and with people who are not being heard, helping them to express their views and make their own decisions and contributions.E) Provide a forum where both service attendees and providers voices can be represented at local and national policy and strategic planning events.F) Provide accredited learning and training programmes compatible with national standards and government policy.G) Make the training, learning and advocacy programmes accessible to other populations.The organisation's values are: A) We believe that all people can recover from problem drug and alcohol use, achieving their individual and collective aspirations and contributing to society. B) We believe that everyone has the right to expect support to enable them to recover. C) We believe that working collaboratively with people working towards positive change achieves the best outcomes. F) We believe that in all areas of our work we should strive to adapt to individual and group needs and to challenge all forms of discrimination.
