Abstract

This research looks at the experiences of minority ethnic homeless people in Glasgow. The report examines causes of homelessness such as domestic violence, relationship breakdown, forced marriage, and family conflict. It covers such topics as drug and alcohol use, gambling and debt, asylum seekers, and accommodation problems. The report also examines the experiences of BME homeless people with regard to accessing services, coping financially and emotionally, fear and isolation, hostility, racism, and the effects of homelessness on physical health.
