Welcome to #connect23

Collaboration, Opportunities, Navigation, Network, Evolution, Community, Technology

Your #connect23 event will be running from 10.30 until 14.30, arrival from 10 o’clock onwards. We have two rooms today. A connect room for networking and a session room where sessions will take place.

Please share to social media before, during and after the events using the hashtag #connect23

Connect

Today is all about connecting with each other. Spend time in the connect area to network and find new opportunities for collaboration. Talk to other people, find out what their work in digital is. Do your aims overlap? What are their barriers holding them back? Could you support each other? Could you work together in some way?

Refreshments will be available in the connect area and a buffet lunch will be served at 12.30pm. Please do feel free to take leftovers home.

Session room

There are three sessions being delivered in the session room. Attend as many as you like. You will find details of what each session is about further down this page, after the timings.

10.45 - Session 1: Natural allies - Digital inclusion and the circular economy

11.45 - Session 2: Project success in a hybrid landscape

13.30 - Session 3: Creating a hybrid culture: managing remote and hybrid workers

Session detail

Session 1 - Natural allies - Digital inclusion and the circular economy

The digital age has ensured advancements and brought people together across the globe, but its environmental impact is something we all need to consider. Thinking about how we might challenge and address this, we're exploring the experiences of people that have embraced the circular economy and are not only helping to ease the pressure on the planet, but also ensuring affordable access to high-quality devices for all. Join us for an engaging conversation about two things that go hand in hand: digital and the environment.

Ideal for: Organisations who want to save money or lower their environmental impact or need devices for service users

Session 2 - Project success in a hybrid landscape

The world of work has changed forever over the last few years as we embraced hybrid and remote working.  However, our project management methods have remained the same and are fast becoming outdated and no longer fit for purpose. Agile working could be the answer.

This session will introduce agile working and how continuous incremental changes to the way you work can help you to begin to manage projects more effectively, saving staff time and making progress visible right through your project.

Ideal for: anyone who is working on or managing projects

Session 3 - Creating a hybrid culture: managing remote and hybrid workers

During this session we will look at how to optimise hybrid working culture. We will consider hybrid working on a team level, discuss supporting effective team building and cohesion in hybrid teams, and look at the development of communication and engagement activity. This will enable a deeper understanding of individual requirements for great work balanced against the need for a cohesive team culture.

Ideal for: Organisations of any size using digital platforms
