Scottish EDGE is the UK’s biggest small business funding competition and is supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Hunter Foundation, Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise. To date, it has awarded over £13 million to over 300 Scottish businesses.
The competition runs twice per year and consists of several categories for businesses, social enterprises and charities of all sectors and stages. The award amounts range from £10,000 to £150,000 and in the last round, 37 businesses shared in a combined £1.7 million prize pot.
To apply, businesses complete an online application form and submit a three-minute video pitch. All applications then progress to an assessment phase, during which panels of expert assessors short-list the semi-finalists/finalists of each competition category, approximately 100 in total. The short-listed businesses are then invited to pitch live to a panel of judges.
The current round (Round 14) opened for application on 28th Jan 2019 and the application window closes on 4th March 2019 at 2pm.
